We're currently seeking a Regional Maintenance Manager to lead a multi-site, roving maintenance operation based out of the Irvine area, supporting scattered-site apartment communities across Orange County.

This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys coaching technicians, solving complex service issues in the field, and building strong partnerships with property managers. You’ll oversee a field team of roughly 10 to 15 technicians supporting a portfolio of 2,500+ units, with a weekly rhythm that blends office-based planning and reporting with time in the field handling escalations, training, and high-skill repairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a roving maintenance team of approximately 10 to 15 technicians across a multi-site apartment portfolio

• Oversee work order execution, timecard accuracy, quality standards, and service responsiveness across the region

• Serve as the regional technical expert, personally handling escalated or complex HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs (about two days per week)

• Partner with property managers to prioritize work, resolve resident escalations, and maintain strong client relationships

• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management to build a high-accountability field culture

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential or multifamily maintenance experience, including team leadership (multi-site preferred, large single-site considered)

• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances

• Experience supervising technicians you don’t see every day, including training, scheduling, and accountability in the field

• Comfortable using property management software (AppFolio or similar) and Microsoft 365 for communication, reporting, and timecards

• Must have own tools and a truck or van, plus a clean driving record and ability to travel throughout the region

Perks

• Total compensation range of $75,000 to $94,000 (base salary plus bonus potential), with top-end bonus potential up to 10%
