At Percy, we're building new ways to connect talented professionals with meaningful career opportunities at leading companies in the multifamily industry. We're currently seeking a Resident Occupancy Specialist to join the onsite team at a 400+ resident affordable housing community in Yonkers, NY.
This role is hiring for two tracks: one position is focused primarily on recertifications and resident file compliance, while the other serves as the front office hub, supporting residents, phones, work orders, and assisting with compliance as needed. If you have affordable housing program experience (LIHTC, Section 8, NYCHA, HPD, or similar) and want a stable Monday to Friday schedule with long-term growth potential, this is a strong opportunity.

Responsibilities
Complete annual and interim recertifications, income verifications, and compliance documentation (role dependent)
Maintain organized resident files and keep recertification deadlines on schedule
Provide professional resident service in a busy office environment, including phones and in-person support (role dependent)
Enter and track resident requests and work orders, coordinating with onsite teams as needed
Use property management software (Yardi preferred) to update resident records and support occupancy workflows
Qualifications
Affordable housing compliance exposure (LIHTC and/or Section 8; NYCHA/HPD/CityFHEPS experience is a plus)
Hands-on recertification experience is required for the compliance-focused track
Yardi experience strongly preferred (other property management systems considered with strong compliance background)
Strong attention to detail, organization, and comfort working with deadlines and documentation
Professional, patient customer service skills for resident-facing interactions

Total compensation range: approximately $48,000 to $52,000 annually (up to $25/hour)
