At Percy, we’re building new ways to help people find meaningful careers with top property management companies across the country. We’re currently seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join a well-established senior living community in New Hartford, NY.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and ensuring residents receive top-tier service. The ideal candidate will be both technically proficient and customer-oriented, ready to manage maintenance operations while actively contributing to the team’s daily work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform maintenance tasks, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs

  • Manage work orders and maintenance schedules using property software systems

  • Supervise one maintenance technician, ensuring quality and timely task completion

  • Provide excellent service to residents, occasionally assisting with cleaning and unit turnover

  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues as part of an on-call rotation (every other week)

  • Maintain inventory of basic tools and supplies

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a maintenance supervisor, preferably in a residential or senior living setting

  • Comfortable using property management software to track work orders and schedules

  • Strong hands-on skills across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

  • Ability to lead by example, while being willing to take on all levels of maintenance tasks

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to the property within 30 minutes

  • Must pass a background check and drug screen (excludes marijuana)
