We're currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support a two-building affordable apartment community in Trenton, NJ, including a fully covered on-site apartment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who brings strong electrical and plumbing skills and wants a senior-level position focused on technical leadership rather than managing a team. You’ll handle day-to-day work orders and unit turns across two nearby buildings, work alongside an on-site property manager and porter, and serve as a key technical resource for a regional facilities leader.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work orders and apartment turns across a two-building community (100+ units)

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and plumbing issues with minimal oversight

• Support HVAC/boiler-related maintenance and seasonal readiness as needed

• Coordinate supply runs and move tools/materials between buildings (personal vehicle required)

• Provide clear technical updates and recommendations to the regional facilities leader and on-site management

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on residential maintenance experience (multifamily preferred; hotel/hospital/facilities maintenance also considered)

• Strong electrical and plumbing troubleshooting skills (required)

• Valid driver’s license and your own insured vehicle

• Comfortable in a senior, high-accountability role without direct reports

• Able to commute within roughly 30 to 45 minutes of Trenton during the initial 30-day period before the on-site unit is available

• Total compensation range of approximately $70,000+ in value (includes base pay plus housing benefit; top end includes $21/hour base pay)
