We're currently seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support a small cluster of affordable housing communities across Easthampton, Northampton, and Westfield, MA.

This is a steady, hands-on role focused on indoor general maintenance, unit turns, and resident work orders, including service for elderly and disabled residents. You’ll be supported by an experienced maintenance team with structured onboarding, paid training during work hours, and a clear pay progression after your first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment turns and make-ready work including painting, basic repairs, and cleaning as needed

• Handle resident work orders including light plumbing, light electrical, and general handyman repairs

• Support accessibility-related maintenance needs and provide strong resident-facing service

• Participate in an on-call rotation (roughly one week per month) and respond to after-hours emergencies

• Travel between a small group of nearby buildings as needed; mileage is reimbursed

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle

• Live within a reasonable commute (about 30 minutes) of the Easthampton, Northampton, and Westfield area

• General maintenance experience in apartments, residential, facilities, or handyman work

• Comfortable working with elderly and disabled residents in an occupied community setting

• Willingness to join an on-call rotation and learn processes through hands-on training

Perks

• Total compensation range: approximately $50,000 to $54,000 annually (base pay plus bonus potential and on-call pay); top end includes up to about $25/hour base pay after 90 days plus quarterly bonus eligibility

• Indoor work only with no landscaping or snow removal responsibilities
