We're currently seeking a dependable Off-Site Maintenance Technician to support a well-maintained affordable/LIHTC apartment community in Keansburg, NJ.

This is a steady upkeep role, not a turnaround. You’ll handle day-to-day apartment maintenance including work orders, make-readies, and seasonal on-call coverage. The right candidate lives within about 30 minutes of the community, is comfortable responding during severe weather, and brings strong hands-on skills across plumbing, electrical, and minor HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work orders across apartment homes and common areas (plumbing, electrical, minor HVAC, general repairs)

• Perform apartment turns and make-readies to support leasing and occupancy goals

• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent maintenance needs, including weekends as needed

• Support snow and severe-weather duties including clearing, shoveling, and salting walkways and entrances

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance shop and follow all safety procedures

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in apartments, residential, facilities, handyman, or commercial building environments

• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs in plumbing, electrical, and minor HVAC with minimal supervision

• Must live within approximately 30 minutes of Keansburg, NJ and reliably report in severe weather

• Comfortable with snow removal duties and on-call expectations

• Strong reliability, follow-through, and customer-service mindset when working with residents

Perks

• Total compensation range of approximately $45,000 to $55,000 annually (base pay plus bonus potential), with top-end base pay up to $23/hour and annual bonus potential up to 15%
