Senior Property Manager (Greater Boston Scattered Portfolio)
Compensation: $65,000 to $90,000 base depending on experience, plus project management bonus. Earn up to $100,000 per year, all in.
A growing Boston-based property management owner-operator is hiring a Senior Property Manager to run a scattered portfolio of approximately 260 units across 150 properties in Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, and Somerville. The role is mostly work from home with property visits every few weeks. You will oversee a team of six to seven and own renovation projects from scope to completion. This is a senior, autonomous seat reporting directly to the owner.
What You Will Own
- Day-to-day operations across 260 units and roughly 150 mixed-type properties (single condos, two and three-family homes, a few small multifamily buildings).
- A team of six to seven full-time staff: one maintenance tech and five office staff handling maintenance coordination, leasing, payments, and billing.
- Renovation and capital projects from bidding through completion. Project oversight drives the bonus.
- Tenant relationships, escalations, and the standard of hospitality the company is built on.
- Coordination with condo associations on units inside larger condo buildings.
What We Are Looking For
- A self-starter who takes ownership and does not need to be managed day to day.
- Strong hospitality and people instincts. We treat property management as a people business.
- Comfort with a varied, scattered-site portfolio. No two properties are alike.
- Five plus years of multi-site residential property management experience is ideal, but hospitality crossover backgrounds (hotel operations, restaurant management) with the right people skills will be considered.
- A personal vehicle and the ability to flex your day if a property needs eyes on it.
- Located within roughly Route 128 of Boston.
Compensation and Benefits
- $65,000 to $90,000 base depending on experience.
- Project management bonus on top, tied to renovation oversight. At current project volume, that adds up to roughly $10,000 per year.
- All in at the top end: up to $100,000 per year.
- 401(k) with employer match after one year of employment.
- Mileage reimbursement for property visits.
- No employer-sponsored medical, dental, or vision.
